Sophie Riddell is a Visual Artist from County Down, working with photography, video and performance.
Her work explores simple yet universal experiences common to all of us, and how these practices allow us to interrelate (socially and culturally).
She is currently in her final year of BA Hons Photography in the Ulster University, Belfast.
Previous themes include the concept of falling into romantic love. Using performance and video she creates a humorous and compelling piece that explores the emotions and complexities of love as someone who has never experienced it herself.
More recently she is exploring the role of the table. How it is a locus for significant, shaping moments in our lives. How it allows space for the exchange of conversations, gesture and connections.
